VISION
- For Splatter to be a desirable, high-end global lifestyle brand

Since Splatter's inception in August 1996, there has always been one clear vision: to create a leading global Australian brand based on solid, original, modern design.

It has always been Splatter's desire to create a solid umbrella company under which a variety of highly desirable, stylish, quality products are housed.

Using and expanding upon this model, Splatter has set its sites on creating an export module, which under the protection of the brand Splatter can expand and provide our product with a much broader audience.

Export and expansion overseas are essential to Splatter's future as a growing Australian brand, and it has been our intention from the start to build a strong export arm. That vision is now becoming a wonderful reality, and with our online gallery and overseas exhibitions, new doors continue to open with neighboring countries to continue growing as a market leader and innovator in our field.

FOCUS
Methodical, well planned strategy with appropriate assistance

After eleven years successfully operating as a sole-trader, Splatter became incorporated in June 2007, only months after having been invited onto Austrade's New Exporter Development Program. This invitation followed an explosive response to Splatter's products in the South East Asian gateway market of Singapore.

Splatter's large 'mosaic' installation; a huge graphic wall of 320 mini paintings, at Robinson's Centrepoint Store in Singapore's busiest shopping precinct, is generating continued interest in the company from agents, clients and commercial enterprises.
Splatter has secured representation in Singapore and is exhibiting in Malaysia this month, expanding their reach in South East Asia.

One thing we have learned at Splatter is that a business can only go so far on it's own merits. Over a decade of business planning and problem-solving, long, grueling and sometimes lonely work hours, creative exhaustion and inspiration, and hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers, all make Splatter what it is today.

However, the Company's biggest advancements have occurred when we have been able to climb onto the shoulders of giants; raising us up, and by their great stature, adding to ours. Splatter has been fortunate to receive assistance from the Commonwealth Government through Austrade and Tradestart, through local government, and through reputable business and export mentors like Deloitte and Canberra Business Point. Teams of IP attorneys, agents, accountants, retailers, buyers, graphic design companies, IT experts and financial advisors all contribute to the Splatter entity. This support has afforded Splatter invaluable expert guidance and direction through the often bamboozling maze of business and export.

CHANGE
- Constant appraisal, responsive development and improvement

Clear business direction, with a strong customer focus are two of the many reasons for Splatter's success. A really beautiful and popular product range and huge variety also give the Company it's leading edge.

Juggling the two priorities of fresh, new design, and customer satisfaction, is a skill at which Splatter excels. We really listen to comments from our customers and are very in tune with developments in interior and other design fields. We attempt to be the "head, and not the tail, of the tiger" in our fields of endeavor; staying ahead of the competition. We surround ourselves with other businesses who are leaders in their fields; seeking professional advice when we don't have the answers. We know that a strong business cannot be built without collaboration and support. We ask many questions and spend hours perfecting our products before the public get to see them.

Splatter is loved by customers and their children the world over and we aim to put smiles on faces where ever we are. We love children and watching their faces light up when they see our designs, or when they agonize over which painting they can chose for their bedroom. It is what keeps us going and growing with new fresh ideas. We create commercial and fine art pieces so there is a price point for everyone. We are developing new products in a variety of categories to broaden the Company's scope and diversify our range so everyone can collect their own piece of Splatter. May 2008 sees the launch of our clothing line and a the first of our new Splatter books, the next step in Splatter's plans for a suite of products under the Company brand.

Splatter Pty. Limited is a wholly Australian owned Company and is proud of the peculiar Australian twist of our original designs; exporting our products around the globe promotes the very special nature of our Country.

A famously Australian love of colour, and a crisp and pithy sense of humour, are reflected in the products we design, and a universal love of simple, beautiful design means that Splatter can compete effectively as an emerging Australian brand on a global stage.

BOUNTY
- Commercial, financial and cultural advancement and success

When Splatter was dreamt of over twelve years ago, little did we realise where the idea would lead. Of course one always strives for success in business, especially where personal passion is involved.
Bounty for Splatter comes in many forms; we get to make people really happy in very personal ways with our art. We get to travel to amazing countries and meet wonderful, culturally diverse people who inspire and motivate us. We are seeing amazing growth with an increase in turnover last financial year of approximately 81 per cent. We get to stimulate other businesses financially by generating work for them and become part of the bigger machinery of the Australian economy. We get to stretch ourselves mentally and physically and challenge ourselves almost every day. We get to make a difference.

ADDITIONAL INFO: In March 2007, Splatter were 'discovered' and sponsored by Tourism Australia and Austrade to represent Australia in Singapore; the Company's entry onto the export arena, where they sold out and turned over almost 65 per cent of their annual turnover for that year in only ten days.

In the year following, Splatter launched an online gallery, secured an agent in Singapore, have a major installation in a major overseas retail outlet, and have started a broad marketing campaign to promote the brand. Manufacturing of clothing and books has started and two new products will be launched in Kuala Lumpur in May 2008.

Overseas buyers and distributors have already expressed interest in Splatter products and it is anticipated that a suite of products will be available in South East Asian cities before the end of 2008.

Plans to broaden the Splatter brand through licensing in the United States are also underway.
